Books/Resources for new grad in oncology

  1. 0 Hi there! I'm a new grad nurse and I just got hired at MD Anderson Cancer Center in their gynecologic/radiation unit. I'm really passionate about oncology and so looking forward to this experience. I have a month til I start work, and I was wondering if any experienced oncology RNs had any recommendations for books or resources that would be really helpful to review as a new grad in this specialty. Thanks for any input!

I would strongly recommend joining Oncology Nursing Society. You will get discounts on CE and educational materials. Their "Core Curriculum for Oncology Nursing" is an excellent resource. They may have some educational materials pertaining specifically to radiologic nursing.

Membership will also give you a discount if/when you decide to become oncology certified.

Thank you so much! I'll definitely check that out
