by bobnurse Jan 29, '10For those who have graduated from the Platt RN program, what are your BSN options. I know they have a BSN program now, but what are the other options. I know U of Phoenix is an option, but do any in-state colleges accept platt graduates. I know they are not accredited, but what if you were to take or have taken all your pre-req from an accredited college.

- Feb 1, '10 by TheCommuterQuote from Me'ChellePlatt College's RN programs are approved to operate by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. However, Platt College's RN programs are not accredited by the NLN, CCNE, or any reputable accreditation body. Platt also lacks regional accreditation. Approval and accreditation are two separate levels. In other words, Platt is approved, but not accredited.I thought Platt was accredited by obn.. - Feb 1, '10 by TheCommuterQuote from bobnurseOptions for a BSN after having completed the Platt ADN program are limited, as virtually all in-state BSN completer programs require graduation from an accredited ADN program. With that having been said, you can do an online or distance based BSN program through the University of Phoenix, Excelsior, or one of the other distance nursing programs. You can also earn a BSN from Platt College, although I am not certain about the credibility of a BSN from this institution. For those who have graduated from the Platt RN program, what are your BSN options.
