Pay increases

  1. I'm curious as to how much and how often the pay increases for nurses here in Oklahoma. I know most hospitals in the OKC metro area start around 18.00 an hour, but does anyone know how long you work before you get a raise? Also how much the standard increase is. Thanks!

Our hospital gives all employees a 3% pay increase every year. Also, as a new RN1 you start at 18-something an hour, after you're off orientation you get half of the pay difference between RN1 and RN2. THen after 1 year you can be a RN2 which is a higher pay scale. There are also RN3 (requires BSN and I think 3 years of employment) and RN4(no idea what it requires - I'm too far off!)
Does that help? Basically our hospital doesn't offer any merit-based raises.
