I was told that there is a new law or regulation in Oklahoma allowing unused medication to be provided to seniors who need help with their prescription bills.
Does anyone know the details? My Uncle said if a medication is changed or the resident of a health care facility dies the medication can be provided to the poor. He knew that controlled medications would be disposed of.
Is this only unit dose? Is it for tablets and capsules filled monthly (many long term care facilities here fill a months supply at a time.)
