by Floridadreaming Aug 23, '12Hi I am in the process of getting my fisrt LPN job at a skilled nursing facility in Norman, OK. I will be working 6p-6a with an alternating schedule so I'll basically be working every other weekend. With this being my first LPN job I'm just not sure how much to ask for on a night shift. I believe most day shifts in this area pay about $16-18 based on experince, but I have no clue about nights do most nursing homes here pay a shift diff? Any advice would be helpful thanks in advance!!

- Sep 6, '12 by toadfrogWhen I first graduated I worked nights in LTC/skilled nursing and started out at $18/hr plus .75 cents differential and $1.00 weekend dif.
The home I currently work at pays .50 dif for noc shift but nothing extra for weekends. - Sep 7, '12 by emtjamieI have been a LPN for a year now. I currently work at 2 SNF's. one is 18.00 and the other is 22.50 start with a minimum of 18 is my advice!! I live in tulsa from what i hear the hospitals in the city hire LPNs whereas in Tulsa they do not!!
