LPN'S What can I expect for pay in a nursing home??

  1. 0 I am considering getting my LPN this summer because I need a job badly. I am getting ready to start RN fourth semester and will prob have to work while I finish up this fall.

Can anyone tell me an est. what a beginning LPN makes, say on 2nd or 3rd shift in nursing homes?

    Thanks in advance.

In a larger metro area (OKC or Tulsa), you can earn $16+ hourly at nursing homes. I'm sure that the pay rate will drop if you are in a small city, town, or rural area.

My first job after becoming a lpn I made $17/hr starting out working at a nursing home (am shift).
