Testing out of Freshman Comp

    I am probably one of few who has to take Freshman Comp. I am going to try to test out of it. The exam at Athens is Sept 1st.
    Has anyone tested out and do you have any advice?

    cincinursemary, did you test out of this class? Is this the junior writing composition? I want to do it but my advisor says i have to go to campus to do it. Anyone knows any alternative to this? I do not see this class online.

    The exam is on campus. It is not the Junior comp course. I got the info on it today and they said if you pass you are exempt from the class but you don't get credit. Since I have to make up so many credits ( long story), I'm thinking it might not be a good idea to test out of it after all. I am going to have to take a boat load of electives to get enough credit for the degree, so I might as well take the class.
    Does someone have a different perspective?

    Thanks. So what is the exam about? Still looking for alternatives I just want to have this behind me--i do not need to take anything extra.

    @ Cincnursemary..did you end up taking the test? I am considering testing out of Jr Comp..If I do not find an online program outside of OU...for an equivalent class..I would really like to take a class that incorporates grant writing...would appreciate anyone's thoughts on that..

    I wound up taking a class ( taking it now at Cinti State). I decided not to test out b/c they waive the requirement if you pass, but don't give you credit. I would have had to take another course for the missing credits anyway, so decided to take the class.
    For Junior Comp, you have to take it at a univeristy level, can't be a community college. I guess that is why they call it Junior Comp. Don't know of any that incorporates grant writing, but I thought I read a post somewhere on a grant writing course.

    After the 2 courses I'm in now, I will still have 12 to take. It is bite in the a$# that I have to retake so many courses. Just plugging along.
