Anyone taking Community Health online with OU RN to BSN program that starts 2/18/13? Would like to start a thread for support. Have used this site in past and appreciated having others to share / support.

Does anyone know if community nursing interventions have to be in a certain format like care plans are?

cincinnurse - Wow that sounds like a bad day - a speeding ticket for going 30! Ugh. I am spending hours on that comm stats project - way more than 4 ...but that is because I don't want to leave any area blank.

This first assignment is complete busy work isn't it? Not hard, just time consuming looking for statistics all over the place......

Is this what you are asking for? I think this is what I will follow unless someone has other suggestions...

In addition, write two priority community health nursing diagnoses. Use the correct format for your diagnoses: Problem, Etiology, Signs/Symptoms

Formatting would be: Problem related to the etiology as evidenced by the signs/symptoms.

For example: Risks of asthma complications among children in a southeast Ohio County related to poor air quality, overcrowded living conditions, inability to access health care, high number of animals living in homes, lack of knowledge regarding treatment options, and lack of access to medications.

This question may sound silly but for the stats projects is everyone doing county, state, united states or county, state, worldwide. Idk why I'm nationwide is confusing to me right now :/

I am doing my county & state of residence then U.S. Don't know for certain that is correct but its my best thought!

The form says county, state, nation. I'm using my county stats, my state stats, and US stats.

Modgoth you're a smart cookie - I remember you from other sites - you had great advice and such - but frankly it may be easy to you- but for me, I am finding the analysis part just plain hard - I'm not sure. I think it is because I am trying to go too indepth. sigh. back to the drawing board. I can't even get to next weeks assignment as I am finishing up this one.

I did say that it wasn't hard, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I think it's easy. I realize that some of us will find certain assignments easier/harder than others. I overthink a lot of my papers at first, which just stresses me out, then I have to step back and go to the basics of what they want. Of course what they want is not always clear so that just adds to the frustration. I know you will get this assignment done 2yearrnba, you're a smart cookie too.

Thanks - I way simplified and quit deciding to write like a major thesis in only a few paragraphs. It got surprisingly manageable once I did that. ON to week 2.
