Ohio University RN-to-BSN Program - Page 193
Register Today!- Apr 17, '12 by rninmeIt can take awhile to hear from them, although I think things are better. Not sure, but I don't think you will hear about fall until sometime during the summer. It can be maddening to wait to hear but once in - things are much smoother. Good luck! If you review this particular thread, which is quite long, you will see what some have gone through to get in, (cough, cough - chuckster!!)
- Apr 17, '12 by Natural510I plan to do this program after I get my associates & RN next year. Several RNs I work with are currently in the OU BSN program, and one is even going to use them for her Masters. It also doesn't hurt our hospital has a deal with OU to give a discount to employed RNs to pursue their BSN through them.
I had no idea it was this popular though (especially out-of-state)... - Apr 17, '12 by Simply ComplicatedQuote from LarryCarterFrom what I have seen and heard, it is better to look at it as if you will hear within 1-2 months of your start date, rather than based on when you applied. Most people get their confirmation about 1-2 months before they plan on starting. Even though you applied so early, they will go through all the apps that are for start dates before yours.I applied a few months ago for the fall start date. I have emailed the school to get confirmation of them receiving my paperwork and they assured me that they have everything needed for enrollment. I have an account set up on my.ohio.edu. My question is this... does it take a long time to get accepted? I am starting to worry.
- Apr 17, '12 by mo2rnDid you guys get the email? OU is planning on increasing the tuition to the maximum allowed. Apparently local students are planning a protest, I am wondering if this will affect us. This was what i was really scared about starting the program and then being stuck with a higher tuition i didn't plan for.
- Apr 17, '12 by deltaroxxy2Soon after I started the program in Jan 2011, there was a price increase. I that point, I started doubling up on classes. I do not qualify for tuition reimbursement at my hospital, so I am paying out of pocket. Sucks that they are increasing the price, but seems like everyone is nowadays. Just thankful I'll be done w/it all next week!!

Did they say how high? - Apr 17, '12 by Simply ComplicatedOk, according to this article, it is only for in state undergraduates. So that wouldn't affect us. Last line of the article
"Graduate tuition for Ohio students, and undergraduate and graduate tuition for out-of-state students, would remain the same, Mitchell said"

Once I graduate I will have taken 19 classes in 18 months. I am tired of school.
