    I did something silly. I planned my vacation around my last course at OU this summer which will be either child development or child and adolescent psych. What I didn't realize was the schedule I was looking at was only for the nursing classes. The non-nursing classes don't end until August. So here are my options:
    1)wait until fall and finish (which is okay)
    2)take my work with me for 2 weeks while I'm on vacation (which is okay too except)
    a) I refuse to do more than four hours of work a week on class while I am on vacation
    b) rescheduling vacation is not an option

    I know I'm being picky and it's my mistake. I'm okay either way but for those of you who have taken either class, do you find them to be a lot of work (papers, quizzes, discussions) or not too time consuming? Oh, it might also help to know I am a peds nurse. Thanks in advance!

    Try edukan. They have an 8 week developmental psych course the end of march into may that I think I am going to take

    Hmmm. Thanks. I looked there earlier but couldn't figure out how to read the schedule. It will be worth trying again! Did you end up getting into the OU nursing program with the out of state mess going on?

    Yes I did. New York came through. Have to start in feb as I am on vacation for 2 weeks and couldn't start 4510 in January. The courses I believe at edukan are offered in 16,12, and 8 week schedules. Took micro their in 8 weeks in October. You pick one of their colleges for your transcripts. I chose Colby as they had no pre req's for micro the others did. I know,confusing!

    Good for you! It sounds like you've been really cranking out the prerequisite classes. Enjoy your vacation!

    edukan has 6 week courses offered over the summer as well. I am looking to take microbiology, cultural anthropology and child development as well if I cannot take them online at my local community college. Cincinnati state has online courses as well for the same cost minus the extra 115 charge for some of the courses.
    I wanted my summer to be free. I took classes last summer and I was miserable. I dont mind holdig off graduation til fall is here.

    SShannon81, I took micro at edukan in october 8 week course. it has a virtual lab which was pretty cool once you got use to it. I think I am going to take developmental psych there and already did anthropology at WOSU 10 day intercession. That leaves an arts class,stats which I dread and the business communications and the 9 nursing courses. Trying to do as much as i can when i have free time.

    I want my summer to be free also but would rather take child development than a psych class. While they are probably both the same stuff, I've taken so much psych, I cannot stand one more class! If I knew that child development would be offered again in the fall I wouldn't even consider the summer!
