Who's taking it winter 2? Have you gotten your book? Are you buying or renting?

Also, if you have taken it, any advice? :D

So we need to reference a care plan website if we looked at one. I totally spaced that part. Okay, so cite the references in the care plan then list them on the final reference page.

I referenced a nursing care plan book that I had in my personal possession that I looked at to write up my care plan. And yes, all references on one page, on its own page, at the very end. I had a total of 10 pages counting title page and reference page.

In the rubric, it specifically states no textbook for the references for the care plan information development, I'm wondering if a nursing care plan book would not be considered a textbook? I may have to see if they have one available for kindle if it's not considered a textbook, may be easier than searching the OU online articles trying to find a needle in a haystack! The person I interviewed is very healthy, I'm thinking I may have a hard time coming up with 3-5 pages. I'm stretching it on my nursing diagnoses...anxiety r/t history of breast cancer (over 10 years ago) and upcoming annual follow up, and risk for caregiver role strain, as her husband is 83,and she has said multiple times if he were to get sick, she would retire to take care of him...like I said, I think I may be grasping at straws on this one, but those are really the only 2 I can really come up with her. Now for the fun part, coming up with interventions citing a research based reference...ugggg.

I added in the textbook. I think they are trying to say you MUST have researched based references other than a textbook for your intervention. So having a textbook used in my non-intervention reference is not going to penalize me. You need to use journal articles for your references on one intervention per nursing diagnosis, which I did do. I also added a nursing care plan book in my references for another portion of my care plan. Good luck on your assignment.

validate nursing interventions – please include several interventions under each diagnosis and goal. note: you must find a validate reference that supports at least one of your interventions– so for example you may write – provide adequate sleep for healing (research why sleep promotes healing). cite and reference this in the careplan and it must be a journal article and not the textbook). the directions also state that you will describe how you would measure/evaluate the goals for achievement. see the example careplan in the directions under week 5. (20 points)

5 points each for nursing interventions listed under each diagnosis for a total of 10 points – there are two nursing diagnosis and need nursing interventions under each for a total of 10 points. this would include the evaluation of the outcomes/goals

5 points each for nursing interventions that is validated for each diagnosis - there are two nursing diagnosis and need at least one nursing interventions validated under each for a total of 10 points.

uggggggg.......between all the new patients we are getting swamped with at work and classes, my brain is fried! this explanation makes much more sense than reading the rubric. i'm sitting here trying to actually find an article regarding breast cancer patients, anxiety and what the nurse can do to help...i think way to literally when i am tired and make my searches way to narrow!

I know what you mean. Right now I have a 96.15% total for the class. Week 4 and 5 not graded yet. I would like to end with a solid A in this class...but maybe striving for B's in the future is not such a bad thing if it keeps my sanity intact.

Right now, I have a 97.59% in the class. I, very surprisingly, got a 100% on module 3 assignment. Obviously that grade may very well change once module 4 is graded. I'd like an A in the class, but will settle on a B...but really really want to maintain that A. So far, the only B I have is in Assessment, which I tested out of...and several people said it would be curved 5 points...it wasn't or I would have gotten my A :( Oh well...I'll gladly take that B

I did not use a text for references in the care plan because of the rubic. I did get an idea as to what kind of interventions I needed and then looked for journal articles to support that intervention.

just search for anxiety...not related to anything. you will find way more information that way

Honestly - so far this is the only class that I have had issues with and felt like I was swimming in the dark the majority of the time. Hasn't been my experience before this class and I hope it isn't my experience after.....crossing fingers and toes on that one!!!

How many classes do you have left. This class isn't bad, just time consuming as hell. Intervention and Research for me were BAD!!!! LOL
