Family Nursing (NRSE 330) summer 2012 - Page 31
Register Today!- Aug 14, '12 by EmJeanRNSorry to hear how ugly this class was. Apparently, classes have gotten increasingly stringent as we go along. I had Family and Transitions together in January and got an A in both. However, Ethics was god awful horrible in the grading. We had to do group projects and our group recieved a 70% on our first project. I worked like a fiend on the last two group projects...spent countless man hours doing so...to improve my grade. Recevied all A's on homework...but that 70% kept my final grade down to a B+. I was furious that another individuals work(or lack thereof) was able to dictate my final grade. I wrote the Prof and never heard a word back from her. I have been very discouraged since this happened.
I still have 4 nursing classes left and my mojo has fizzled. - Aug 14, '12 by chucksterQuote from EmJeanRNSorry to hear about your problems in Ethics. What you describe is precisely why I hate group projects.Sorry to hear how ugly this class was. Apparently, classes have gotten increasingly stringent as we go along. I can see why your mojo meter is pointing toward E but hang in there. Four more classes is, in Ralph Cramden's words, "a mere bag of shells."EmJeanRN likes this. - Aug 14, '12 by mtsteelhorseQuote from chuckster3 more and I can hardly wait. If I'd had this last prof for the first class I probably would have quit the program. I won't even share the email from her when I told her I needed unexpected surgery in the middle of the course. It was along the lines of put on a tourniquet and get back to work...Sorry to hear about your problems in Ethics. What you describe is precisely why I hate group projects.

Did you have to take additional electives on top of nursing class. i am not speaking of cross-culture,art or bus comp.
- Aug 14, '12 by mtsteelhorseOnly cross-cultural elective...took it elsewhere and transferred it in. That was all I needed.
- Aug 14, '12 by mo2rnQuote from mtsteelhorseI do not understand why they are saying i need electives in order to satisfy the general graduation requirements.I will be taking all nursing classes plus buscomp and art.Only cross-cultural elective...took it elsewhere and transferred it in. - Aug 14, '12 by rninmeQuote from mo2rnHow many credits did you transfer in? Did you have credits above what was necessary for your nursing degree? You have to have X amount of credits in each catagory in order to fulfill university requirements. Look at your DARS - it will tell you what you need.I do not understand why they are saying i need electives in order to satisfy the general graduation requirements.I will be taking all nursing classes plus buscomp and art.
- Aug 14, '12 by mo2rnQuote from rninmeevery area would be fulfilled; hence the reason for elective. However i have plenty of credit over my ASN degree. I have over 100 credits. How many credits do you have? I am so frustrated, i have no intention on taking electives when i already have so much creditsHow many credits did you transfer in? - Aug 14, '12 by mo2rnQuote from rninmeSorry if i sound snappy i am just so upset especially after family. I think i know what the problem is and i am hoping that OU will understand. Apparently my classes that are actually 4 semester credit hours are showing up as 2 credits. I think this is happening because i started on quarters and they are changing to semesters. In my opinion my 4 credits should remain 4 since they were actually taken at a semester school. please can you check your dars to see if that has happened to you.How many credits did you transfer in?
