Well i will be in this class for the summer session, i am hoping this experiencve wil be a positive one.

... Someone in my group asked the same question. They are referring to the case study family.
Thanks Hollie. That's what I thought but really wasn't sure.

Clear as mud as always. If we wrote like they do we'd be losing points right and left. :lol2:

Be sure and read the Instructor's Notes for Mod 5. She refers to particular chapters to focus on. Finally we're in the home stretch!

thanks - need all the help I can get -- my brain has gone to some other dimension (visual of me with hands in the air, looking into space asking for brain to come back to my body) - I think these 5 week classes require so much work -

OK since it takes them for ever to respond back to my question maybe someone else can help me. For the case study it states to use references to support our ideas. Now prior to this she said we did not need references. Cany anyone help. This SUCKS! This class is such garbage and a waste of my money. Poor organization and poorly written instructions.

I would get references. Even though it was not required of this class my TA made us get them. So annoying.

Thanks for your response. I did get reference and submitted my case studies and can you believe it. The TA responded back and said that I did not need the references. Damm I don't think I'm going to study, just to tired with another final to take in another class. Best of luck.

I used references in all of my case study responses so far, not for every question but at least for a few. I frankly could not decipher whether they were required, so I put them in.

I think most of us are in violent agreement with your last 2 sentences. Only 5 days to go though.

Can someone please clarify citation and reference for AARP???? Do we need to write out what it stands for? Do you put in parenthesis in the REFERENCE portion: American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). 2012??? I cannot find a clear answer. Thanks.

Yes - if you have the 6th ed. publication manual it is on pg 206. American Association of Retired Persons (2012). ....

You don't have to use the abbreviation in the reference, only in the intext citation.

Thank you! My brain is still foggy from surgery, lol!:lol2:

I think this means that each set of case study questions differ...but if you didn't read the small print and just did the questions without reading the intro ...it could get dicey. I only used references if it specifically asked for it. This time it is - so i will use references. Hey Mt steel horse - my brain and APA can't function well - so I got the PERRLA software for APA. That has changed my life with these papers. I can't think sometimes after all the brain work and at least the PERRLA - I just plug it in.

I hear ya about PERRLA. I use it sometimes but often for little things forget I have it. You have to be real careful when using it, however. I need to get more familiar with it. Thanks for the reminder!
