Anyone else taking Assessment for Fall third session?

Suggestions from anyone who has taken it already?

The discussion board is ridiculous. Been pondering it for about five hours now. I'm about at my wit's end. I'm so tired, I'm just writing whatever.

I know, I'm in the same boat... this course is supposed to be designed with the adult learner in mind. It is supposed to accommodate the fact that we are working professionals. Who in the world are they kidding???? And of course, to pour salt in the wounds, the worthless TA doesn't bother answering questions, AT ALL!!! So, what limited time we have to accomplish these ridiculously burdomesome assignments is further abbreviated by the lack of regard, consideration and direction from our instructors. Do they even bother learning the information they are supposed to be teaching us???? .“It is essential that those in positions of authority convey a fundamentalrespect for the people with whom they work” (Bastable 2008). Really? I am so frustrated! Sorry for the tirade.

I started seeing a chiropractor for back and neck pain, I know it's from looking at the computer screen all day :eek:

I know that the best advice I can give anyone is to not attend OU. This is out of control. Has anyone had contact with the instructor versus a TA? I will be contacting OU tomorrow. The assignments do not get graded until it is too late to submit the next one the way you think they want it, and if you get lucky enough to get them back, they do not tell you how to correct the assignment beyond "read the rubric". This is not an education, it is a crap shoot.

OMG, 2 people in my section already have their DB done! Maybe I am making this way harder than it has to be.

I wanted to cry when I read through everything to be done this week.

Hi everyone, I Need some help. I am using the wrong 2nd edition of the Bastable book and the chapters and page numbers don't line up. Can someone list out a few of the evaluation methods of page 575 so I know what to look for in my book. Thanks!

I don't see a list of evaluation methods. I think I'm going to use the instructions for the DB and figure it out from there. The examples in the DB directions are: question/answer, quiz, interviewing each client, questionnaire, pretest/posttest. Those things seem more sensible than what I'm reading in the book.

I don't see anything either. It is maddening, the whole DB is about evaluation methods and why choose one over the other, and the book has almost nothing to address either of those. I have been reading articles and searching the net trying to find something that makes sense to me. This is the dumbest DB yet. I am really fed up with this course.

Has anyone noticed that the Document we use for the teaching plan states it is worth 10 points? But, the assignment is worth 25 points?

Is there more to this assignment than the document they provided?????????????
