Anyone else taking Assessment for Fall third session?
Suggestions from anyone who has taken it already?

I would be freaking out, too. Wish you luck with that. I know a blue screen is bad news but not sure about a white screen. Last September I went Mac .... I'll never go back to a PC.

When all else fails, brute force........... I hit the darn thing...... ( well not that hard), but in frustration I plopped in down on my lap, the screen flew all the way out and it came on. I think it must be a bad connector between the screen and the base. I saved everything to a flash drive....... whew, that was a close one.
Guess I'll drop it off to be looked at tomorrow.

Man, glad you got your work saved! I need to get a flash drive for this reason, I don't have one.

Week 2. Finally figured out how to get into the case studies and all that jazz. Feeling VERY OVERWHELMED. High anxiety. Please point me in a good direction to start this week. Something black and white would be nice. Do we have any black and white assignments in this program anymore? Where should I start?
I'm in the case studies. I found skin and Mandi. All I'm finding is a bunch of flipping questions. No preview like it says in announcements. 2 hours I've been at this and gained NOTHING.
Yeah, I didn't get anything out of it that I couldn't have gotten from the book. Most of us are working nurses and do assessments all the time anyway.
Do your articles, that is pretty straight forward. Find 3 articles, summarize and add how you will use the info in a teaching plan. Got mine done this morning.
I like how our Professor Lectures are from a stupid website. Must have taken the prof a long time to come up with her lesson plans for this course. NOT! Then you have the TA's who do not answer questions on the Q&A. That must be hard work too. Gosh almighty I have fallen out of love with this program.
The T&A for my group literally gave the same answer word for word to multiple questions on the Q&A board. I just keep trying to remind myself this will hopefully make me appreciate any NP program I get into, because it HAS to be better than this.
I'm driving myself bonkers with the literature review. I picked adolescent substance abuse but I cannot find journal articles on "content" -- ie, what exactly am I teaching them? Most articles are why communities and schools need prevention programs. Any suggestions?
Unless you're like me and work in the operating room ... we don't assess patients the way floor nurses do.
