Anyone else taking Assessment for Fall third session?

Suggestions from anyone who has taken it already?

How can you put reference in with a health assessment. That is stupid and does not make any sense at all.

I had no clue either. I just put a reference for the book and cut my losses. I'll just take the point loss, since I asked for clarification and got none.

Well...I was going to take every opportunity to NOT recommend OU RN to BSN program, loud and clear after I finished in the spring. Looks like the Ohio Board of Nursing has done it for me.

As for week two...I have not looked at the assignments yet...but I will be sure NOT to turn in any work early in the week and wait until Sunday after this has been hashed out by the TA's and the professors who are not available.

We are the guinea pigs once again.

I meant Chapter 12, not page.

What do you mean about the Board of Nursing?

Never mind, found the thread

So too late for this to even count, but this was on the Outreach FB page. Someone emailed the professor since the TA was no help. The response makes no sense. Since this wasn't included anywhere in the instructions. Regarding what to reference for the Assessment assignment.

""In text references would be used when you prioritize your problem list. For instance, what does the literature say about your prioity problem, why is it a problem, how prevalent is the problem"

Shaking my head. I was wondering if there should have been more to the prioritizing of the problem list. I really hope that we do not suffer in our grading for lack of organization on their part.

I'll be curious to see if ANYONE put more into it than just putting them in order. I did it exactly as the sample showed. That is more than lack of communication and organization, thats downright no instruction whatsoever indicating that.

So you did every chapter?? 12 through 20??

I did it exactly like the sample. Plain and simple. I did not do it in nursing diagnosis jargon.

The Learning Theory chapter and discussion board is killing me. Spent about five hours on it yesterday until I put it to bed because I was tired of looking at it. I'm not sure if I even did it correctly. My discussion board always sounds like the stupidest one on there. Does anyone else feel that way? Too many requirements; no distinct directions. Always wondering if I did it correctly. :arghh:

Agreed! There was nothing to indicate looking up additonal info re the problem list. With my person that would have taken hours, there were like 9 things on the problem list. The confusion in this class is excruciating!:banghead:

I posted a question for clarification on my section's Q&a page. No response yet. There are some lymphatic things in two of the chapters, but since this is specifically a skin, nail, hair and peripheral vascular and lymphatic assessment, I don't think we should have to do all of the chapters.

Hopefully will get an answer soon.
