Credit hours

Noticed some RN-BSN courses are 3 credit hours. Is the work load noticeably less than in 4 credit hour classes? I am considering doubling up on a couple classes if I can, any suggestions?

Those are 3 credit hours for semester credit, vs 4 when it was quarter hours. Supposedly semester hours are worth more than quarter hours.
Program requirement for graduation are down from 192 under quarters to 120 something for semesters.

It's like having dimes and nickles. You have 5 nickles and 3 dimes, but the 3 dimes are worth more than the 5 nickles. Does that make sense?

I don't know if the work load is less, b/c theoretically you have 15 weeks worth of material instead of 10 weeks, that's why they are worth more.

You might want to talk/email an advisor before you take the leap.

Some of the 5 week courses are still 4 semester hours, and some are 3. So, although we cannot measure semesters against quarters, we should be able to measure the 4 credit semester courses against 3 credit semester courses.

in my opinion they all seem to follow the same outline. papers due & class discussions. Credit hours do not really mean much to me. Of course most of the classes are abit of a blur right now. Some classes are easier than others though.I had already taken the bulk of my courses prior to the switch to semesters
