Clinical has been great. Really the whole experience depends on your attitude going in. If you make clinical about you. You aren't going to do well. If you make clinical about the staff nurses you aren't going to do well. If you make clinical about your instructor you aren't going to do well. If you make clinical about patient safety and patient care you'll do fine and actually enjoy clinical because nobody will be up your butt. - Oct 15, '11 by purplcavAll ---

I faxed my background check over the moment I got home with it and waited 2 weeks. I heard nothing. Called them and they said they NEVER RECEIVED IT! - so I faxed it to them again - 7 times in a row - to make sure they got at least one transmission. Boy did that make me mad!. Then I faxed it over to Tri-C. I've never had any problems with of my stuff getting lost.
Glad I found this convo thread with regards to losing docs. I will make sure to fax, and refax, and copy all docs sent to them. I have heard they are VERY DISORGANIZED over there. What a way to conduct business. Do they not realize they are messing with peoples lives? ugh.

- Oct 15, '11 by leekayeDid anyone who took the A2 in September get an application? I took mine 9/2 and got an email that my scores qualified me a couple weeks ago, but still haven't gotten anything.
- Oct 15, '11 by Lee J AQuote from leekayeMy son and I both took the test in Sept and got our official "your in" this week with a follow-up email telling us everything we need to do. You said they got your background check so you should have got a response this past week. My son was accepted for Fall 2012 and I so even the later start people are getting responses. I would call Monday.Did anyone who took the A2 in September get an application? I took mine 9/2 and got an email that my scores qualified me a couple weeks ago, but still haven't gotten anything.

I don't think it's a matter of disorganization. It probably has to do more with the sheer volume of stuff they are dealing with. The program has nearly doubled in size over the past couple of years and there is always something going on. Errors are unfortunately bound to occur. It sure would be nice when they do commit an error to receive and apology however, the sheer number of students ******** at them for errors the student committed or something the student failed to understand has probably hardened them to that idea. - Oct 18, '11 by Lee J ADoes anyone know if we have to get the uniforms from "Affordable Uniforms" posted in the groups info?

Sorry, one more question. I need books for 1300 and 1450, do you guys resell your books or are they using new editions every semester to stop that from happening? I usually buy the older versions of textbooks on Craigslist because I have a tight budget but I'm not sure if I will be able to do this with the nursing books. - Oct 19, '11 by ScottE,RNQuote from Lee J AThe books for 1450 are the same books used in 1600 and the same books used in 2500. They start you in the books and you'll finish in that books. Using older editions though is usually fine though as they are mostly the same. Only difference is that the page numbers might be different between editions.Hey Scott,

Just FYI the 1300 book is only used for 1300. The 1701 book is only used for 1701, and the 2300 books are only used in 2300. I don't believe 2400 uses any books.
The only book that you DO NOT want an older edition of is your Drug Guide book. You want the newest edition of that as you can get. Preferably a 2011-2012 edition.
