Yeah the insurance offered through Tri-C is cheap, but it doesn't cover a damned thing. There were a few folks that posted about it on the group site. Look around the message board over there for more info. You may have to go back a few pages though. This of course is if you have access to the group site.Is anyone familiar with the health insurance offered through tri-c? If so, do you know how long it takes to process and the costs of the insurance?
- Sep 24, '11 by Lee J AAll right, I give up, whats a NEONI test? I passed the entrance exam and did my background check but I haven't heard anything from anyone so I am clueless as to what you guys are talking about. Please fill me in.
- Sep 24, '11 by ScottE,RNNEONI stands for NorthEast Ohio Nursing Initiative. Basically it's a bunch of area hospitals that provide clinical experiences to students in area school's nursing programs. The test is placed on the blackboard site and consists of a bunch of safety related questions of which you must get 90 something percent correct in order to "pass." You can take it as many times as necessary however. All new admits take the exam prior to enrolling in 1300/1450. Everyone including people who might have just started in 1300/1450 take the exam again in March. No one is exempt from taking the NEONI exam including clinical faculty.

- Sep 28, '11 by spsktrSo, I'm still waiting for the application from Tri-c. A2 was so easy couldn't believe it. I'm assuming the application should come anytime now. Now, I'm planning on working 3rd shift, but not sure about exact hour so I'm little hesitant about Day or Evening program. Do you know how late the Evening programs are held till? Do you get lot of choices for Day program?

You can look at the master schedule for Spring 2012 to see when nursing courses are offered. Evenings and weekend clinicals can run until midnight though. You pretty much get locked into a class once you pick you campus and program.
http://www.tri-c.edu/programs/nursin...s/default.aspx - Sep 28, '11 by spsktrIs there only one lecture for each Day and Evening program for 1300? I'm assuming cap-56 is the lecture and cap-14 is the lab. 8am will be tough after all night of work.

Yep 1300 only has one 50 minute lecture per week and one 2 hour lab per week. 1450 Has two 1 hour 50 minute lectures, one 2 hour lab, and two 6 hour 30 minute clinicals per week. I'm not sure how the evening weekend program is but with days you are in class for 4 out of the 7 days each week. It's rough by itself and even rougher trying to juggle work with school and anything else you might have going on. -
