I was just wondering if anyone knew if Ohio allowed you to take your LPN nclex exam while in RN school still? There have been many topics listed and many says yes they will while others say no.

I will be starting my RN program Aug 20, 2012 at Good Samaritan College of Nursing in Cincinnati, ohio. Some states like Michigan allow you to take your LPN nclex exam after the 1st year of RN school. I was wondering if Ohio allowed the same.

Just want to get my foot in the door somewhere while completeing my RN.

    Thank you

  4. No you can't. You need to be a graduate of a state approved LPN program to sit for the NCLEX-PN in Ohio.
  5. Okay Thank you ScottE
  6. On a side note, GS likes hiring their own graduates That gives you a huge foot in the door with Tri Health.
  7. Cool thats a good advantage. Do you know if they would hire me as a PCT while attending school there?
  8. Yup! Like I said, they like keeping their own.
