PCA and STNA Hospital Jobs Columbus/OSU

U.S.A. Ohio

Published

Hello Everyone,

It's nice to be able to communicate and identify with Nurses and Nursing Students. I hope you can help me with my job prospects in Columbus. I just graduated from the CNA program here in Fla I have 3 months experience in a nursing home. I would like to get a job at OSU Medical or at one of the area hospital.

The only listings I see on the OSU site are for PCA. Does anyone know how much experience I would need to have under my CNA to get a job at OSU at as PCA? Do they often hire STNA/CNA without the PCA training course (like they do here in Fla.) and provide on the job training?

I have also been looking at the Riverside Medothdist Hospital site. I see they hire CNA under the Patient Care Assistant title but I wanted to know if anyone knew the salary over ther for this job?

Could anyone tell me the salary range in general for CNA/STNA working in nursing homes?

Thanks in adavance for any help you can offer!

Andrea

Thanks for all your help.

Yes, they will hire you with STNA training. They provide on the job training.

If you work at OSU, your patient load will probably not be as large as at Riverside. If I were you, I would choose OSU (although Riverside is a good place too.)

I'm pretty sure OSU pays the most for PCAs.

Thanks for the information.
