My classmates and I completed a program on March 26, 2009 and many still have not received their ATT. this is partially, due to the High volume of applications received by the state, however, the College was reluctant to send the applications out in a timely and prudent manner.
My date of completion for the LPN program was March 27 and I just got my ATT June 25. Like you said, the board is backed up, but it still took RETS almost a month to send our paperwork in in the first place. What the heck?!
I'm planning on returning in Aug for the RN program. I keep hearing that it's terrible - everything from Dr. Misner's tests to finding enough seats for a class - but I feel at this point I'm kind of stuck. There just aren't a lot of other places to go without having to repeat a bunch of classes... hopefully things on the administration side will be a little bit better now that the lady who was losing the clinical contracts is gone...

Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is a good LPN school. I graduated from there in Aug. 08. They have a very good rep and everything transfers. Excellent teachers and administrators. The school is in Clayton but I took my classes at the Dayton VA, which was more convenient for me. Mark Klimek (sp?) did our NCLEX review classes and he says he is always impressed with CTC students; that when he hold the review classes he finds that we know more than other LPN program students and that we know some things only an RN would know. I was very happy there and felt like I got a very good education. You can go to Sinclair or Miami afterward for the bridge program, but the program affiliated with CTC is Kettering Medical College. If your grades and attendance are up to par you can earn a free ride scholarship to Kettering. Then you owe Kettering Medical Center (which I hear is an excellent hospital to work at) two years. I highly recommend CTC.

Miami University has a campus in Middletown that has both ADN, RN to BSN, and traditional BSN programs. I just completed my sophomore year of the BSN program and really love it so far. The tuition is far less than that of the Oxford campus and the University has graduated many nurses for a number of years now. I know it's not exactly in the Dayton area, but would be well worth the drive!
