Difference in pay between Cleveland clinic and University Hospital

Anyone want to weigh in on the difference in pay scales between Cleveland clinic and university hospitals? I'm looking at several RN PRN positions and just wanted some opinions.

I work at UH right now and I have heard they pay a little more than the Clinic does. Plus, UH is a great hospital system for nurses whereas the clinic is more doctor oriented.

I'm curious about the health insurance packages between the 2.

I know Ccf is pretty much 100% covered if you go through a Ccf doc.

Anyone care to add about uh's insurance?

I don't believe you are offered insurance at either one being PRN

True, none for prn's I was thinking more general. How is uh's insurance coverage?

I'll be honest, CF's insurance is probably better than UH's and I currently work for UH (Not a nurse but in another capacity while going to nursing school). A fellow student of mine works as a PCNA there and he says the benefits are really good.

I work at ccf and the starting wage for Rn's is $24.45 an hour. Not sure about PRN. UH does pay more. Like $3 more an hour. However, UH insurance isn't that great and CCF insurance is awesome. Pretty much pays 100%. I know several people that work at UH also and I find this info to be very true. :)

Yea that is what I have heard too. I must say the only knock on UH is their health benefits. I keep hearing though that they will change but who knows when that will actually happen. Ultimately it comes down to which matters to you more, pay or benefits.

Can anyone offer more info about UH pay for a nurse with 2 years experience? Just looking for approximate numbers here. From what I gather it's somewhere around $28-$31?

Also does anyone know how much their float pool pays? I am under the assumption full time float pool usually pays $3-$5 more an hr? Any input will help! I currently work at the CC. Looking to make more money.

Cleveland starts you out around $18 something for the first 10 weeks and raises you up to the usual pay of 24 something after the 10 weeks is over.

Uh pays better than ccf but the benefits from cc far outweigh the hourly wage at UH.

This may explain why so many cc employees work at UH prn

Can someone who works for UH give information on the hourly rate? I am aware their benefits aren't as good but I'm just looking for health insurance, PTO and a higher base pay from cc. Right now I'm making about $25.50 with 2 years experience at the clinic.

Anyone?!
