I'm metro days! So after reading through the handbook I am now terrified!:nailbiting: And my work denied my request off for orientation ( I think they just think I am making up an excuse because it's on halloween:zombie: Ha Ha)

I'm terrified too... But I think everyone will be pretty nervous and a little lost. That sucks that they won't give you the day off.. I'm still waiting to hear from my job... They kinda looked at me like I was lying also lol.

LOL. Trust me the first day of nursing school is nothing compared to your first day out of orientation on the job as a nurse.

Was it really hard? What was the most difficult part are the program? Is there anything I should brush up on to make it a lilt easier for me?

I think ScottE, RN was trying to say that the being a new nurse right off the orientation is much more challenging than being a new nursing student. I heard that good knowledge of A&P won't hurt. Someone else told me that no matter how prepared you are the nursing school won't become easier. I guess that early acceptance of the fact that it will take a lot of studying, studying and studying, and developing good time management and organization skills make life in nursing school more tolerable. Good luck.

Well I think I got just about everything done. I even got my scrubs and patches....The only thing I have left is my last hep shot. I hope they will still let me register for classes without it.. I can't get it until dec.

You can register for classes as long as you have two doses: 1st and 2nd. The last one is due before clinicals start.
