Hi Everyone... I'm Erica. I come to this site every day but this is my first post. I enjoy reading the posts and have learned so much from all of you. Thank you!
I graduated in 2001 and started school for Business Administration. I am a cosmetologist and wanted to own my own salon. I have decided that owning my own salon is not what I want to do, and want to start a career in nursing here in Cincinnati, OH.
I keep going back and fourth on where I should go, and what I should do. Ideally, I would like to get a BSN and eventually a MSN. I have looked into Christ, Good Sam, Hondros, Galen, Bohecker, Great Oaks, and UC Clermont Transistion. I really want to start this year, so Christ and Good Sam are out of the question because registration has already passed for this fall. I am now stuck. I really liked the Galen campus and staff but have heard a few things about the accreditation and lack of organization that scare me away. I just don't know what to do and I'm considering going to get my LPN at Great Oaks/Cincinnati State because I know for sure my credits would transfer when I do the LPN-RN. I would really like the UC Clermont Transition program but I'm worried that I would not be able to finish because of the highly competitiveness of the program. I didn't do well in High School, although I am very capable and had a high GPA in college. I think I may just have a lack of confidence in school which is scaring me away from the UC program.
As you can see, I'm all over the place with this and I really need some help or maybe some new ideas as to what I could do. I'm open to any suggestions. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and hopefully pointing me in the right direction. I'm sure you get posts like this all the time, and I've tried to go back and read old posts but I thought I just needed to ask for myself for specific information.
