Well, I am glad you are feeling good about it. I forgot momentarily about the hybrid classes in the following semesters. You have a good point with that and the snow. I only saw one person from my prereq. and I had not really talked to her before. When we are thrown in classes/clinicals together, I'm not worried about finding someone to suffer with though .

I believe I am in the second section on mondays as well, I will check later and let you know. I am going to do my clinicals at Hillcrest. Where were you sitting? I was in the back, near the doors about two or three rows up.

I was sitting right next to the tables where the people were collecting the forms in the beginning. I think you might have been right behind me...I have red curly hair and I was wearing a grey sweater.

were you the one who asked about fitting lunch into our hectic days?!
I was about right behind that lady, one seat over, and one row behind. I have dark brown hair, it was in a ponytail and I was wearing a puffy black vest. I asked a few of questions, including one about the math testing, etc..

Yes, I was the one who asked about food. It was a silly question, I know, but in every lab I have taken so far food was not allowed and I wanted to know if I needed to be prepared to sneak in lunch.

I remember you...thank you for asking about the math part of the course, I was curious about the same thing.

Yay! Okay, I know who you are now! And thanks for asking about food, b/c it is an imporant question! I am kind of worried about the analytical thinking, not that I'm a great memorizer either. I just hope I can handle the workload. Are you taking psy2020? I signed up for the online one. I have a lot of psych. courses, but it looks like none of them transferred for that, I may look into it more, but registered just in case.

I am not taking Psy 2020...I, thankfully, took it in undergrad. Are you doing the web-based program. Someone on the ADN group message board posted:

IF YOU HAVE TO, TAKE PSY ONLINE WITH DR. LESURE IT THE BEST IT IS A PIECE OF CAKE. BUT YOU HAVE TO REGISTER WITH DR. LESURE, I TOOK BOTH MY PSY ONLINE AND THEY WERE SO EASY I GOT A'S IN BOTH OF THEM N NO TIME

Don't worry about the analytical thinking. Keep in mind that you do it all the time with your kids, especially when they were little before they talked. Think back to the process you went through every time they were sick or cried...this is the same thing, but probably easier because you will be better educatated about the medical part of what is going on and you will have a bit of emotional distance.

I have no idea what section he teaches. You can probably go on the ADN message boards and ask the person that posted it...perhaps she will know! You could also look in the catalog online to see if the profs. are posted.

I just checked, it only says "Staff" as long as there is no lab part where I have to go to a campus, I think I'll be fine. I do well with online and hybrid courses, I just won't have the time to spend anymore time than I need to on campus.

I was really surprised and irritated that we are going to have to go to our clinical sites dressed up the night before clinicals to get our patient info. They can't email that to us?

Have you ordered your uniform yet? They are TERRIBLE!! I ended up going with the snap-up v-neck and the men's pants. I swear I saw some nursing students in their uniforms and I don't remember them being this bad. I know I saw some students in a MUCH better lab coat than the one I tried on.

I am also pretty irritated about having to go to the clinical sites the night before all dressed up. I don't understand why they can't just e-mail our assignments. I will just use the drive as an excuse to get ice cream during the summer. What is really going to suck is having to do it in the dead of winter when the streets are all crappy and snowy. I wonder if we can have someone else pick our assignments...probably not. Hopefully we can pick them up any time of the day and not just in the evening.

How are you doing with getting everything done? I need to finish out my Hep B vaccinations and purchase liability insurance before the 24th. I have the vaccine scheduled for Monday and I figured I would purchase the insurance when I drop off the medical forms.

This is costing me a fortune! Between buying shoes, a stethoscope, a uniform, and paying tuition I feel broke! I haven't even thought about books or that lab tote. I just keep reminding myself that it will be worth it in the end...hopefully.
