Is self employment possoible for nurses?

Updated Sep 30, 2009 at 02:07 PM by dxbtocvg

In these trying times where there are only a finite number of jobs available, is there any thing nurses can do other than work for someone else? Any entrepreneurial work that also uses their nursing skills?

I am currently beginning an NP program but its along way to completion, and I only work very few hours (all i could get!) and so I was wondering if we should be thinking out of the box?

It would be great if we could brainstorm and see what we come up with!

You can become and independent provider via Medicaid and take on your own home health cases. You can find more information here http://jfs.ohio.gov/ohp/ohc/ohc_providers.stm Good Luck!
