Re: Ohio board of nursing should be ashamed
I think it's a mixture of the economy and also the increased number of new graduates. I graduated from LPN school in Dec 08, I'm in Toledo, and chose to get my license in Michigan. I decided this because there are too many new grads, not enough jobs here. My concern wasn't even so much the lack of state funding for depts like the BON, but if so much competition to get an ATT due to high numbers, how much competition for the dwindling new grad opps? If I were you, I'd be out there working on a job search plan, volunteering or working as a new grad aide or something...not worrying about ATT timing-that will come, but many who passed NCLEX having months to actually get a job. No shortage of new grad nurses, for sure.
