nursing schools in ohio(dayton area?)

i live in ohio and i have been looking for decent schools with good nursing programs...
ive been trying to find lists of schools noted for their nursing programs and i havent had much luck. pretty much just want a decent program with helpful teachers, not a huge school if it can be helped, affordable and no religous affiliation preferably.

thanks so much if you can get me pointed in the right direction-any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I attend RETS College in Centerville. I will begin my 3rd term in the ADN program in a couple of weeks. I am pretty satisfied with the ADN program....a little disorganized, but the LPN program was pretty well organized. VERY expensive though.

There are a lot of schools to choose from in the Dayton area. Wright State, Sinclair CC, Kettering, Cedarville, Edison, just to name a few.

kettering is faith based. I attend Miami University in Middletown, just about 35 minutes down 75s. Its affordable and they have a pretty good reputation.

Wait till you get to Term III and then IV. All Chaos will hit, and you will be re-thinking of why you went back. Only 7 students passed term 3. Need to talk to some students ahead of you.

Fortunately, NO.
However, I am losing many of my fellow classmates from term 4. I have a friend that is with your group that is going into term 3. I have filled her in on about everything that has happened to us. However, I would have to call her everyday just to keep her updated on the issues that have arisen. I wish you luck!!!!

First Aid Re: nursing schools in ohio(dayton area?)
I went to Brown Mackie College-Cincinnati for a little bit, but then transfered to Miami Jacobs Career College in Springboro. I will graduate in January with my LPN. I didn't want to wait for every school's 2-3 year waiting list for RN school. This way, I get my LPN in a year, graduate and work and then go on and get my RN and by pass the waiting list because I already have my clinicals done. Half the problem with the nursin shortage is that we don't have enough nursing instructors! The state of Ohio only lets 10 students be under one clinical instructor. So, hopefully after I do some work, I would like to go back and teach! Miami Jacobs has campuses in Dayton, Troy and Springboro.
Good Luck with your search!

Good Luck with your search!

Miami Jacobs here in Dayton isn't accredited or something like that...Miami university doesn't have waiting lists.

Please please please DON'T go to Miami Jacobs Career College. Please email me if you have any questions. I graduated from their LPN program April 3, 2009 and as of today the State of Ohio doesn't have our paperwork in regards to getting licensed. Not just mine, but my entire class! Their was a recent shake up in the administration and our paperwork got misplaced, etc. Anyways, what a horrible, unorganized program Miami Jacobs is. Please email me and I will provide more info.

Thanks
