New here

Hello! I am new to the boards and wanted to say hello! I am currently a STNA and I am starting school next week at Miami-Jacobs to get my LPN. I am really excited and nervous all at once. I worked in banking for 6 years before finally having the courage to leave and do what I actually wanted to do. I have been an STNA for 2 months and it is harder than I thought it would be but luckily I got into the swing of things and I love it. I am lucky to work at a Carespring facililty. They are beautiful and the staff is great and of course the residents are too. I am looking forward to being here and learning all I can.

I think it is wonderful that you are pursuing your dream and are having a great time in LTC. Reading your post made me think of when I went back to school to become a nurse, too. It is definitely a very exciting time. You will have a lot of interesting opportunities ahead. Congratulations and wishing you the best!!!
