New Filipina RN 'to be' wanting to gain friends


Hello! Just got here in Ohio last December '08 and will be taking NCLEX by Mar. Anyone else with the same schedule? How are you doing with your studies and other preparations? So far, I still don't have much confidence due to a lot of adjustments...need to gain friends really.

Btw, any new Filipina nurses here in Ohio? It would be nice to keep in touch and share updates/ideas.

Hello! I am a Filipina new grad nurse who recently moved to Ohio as well. Just wondering how you did with your N-Clex and if you have made some friends since moving here. I've also tried looking for a Filipino community and friends.

Hey! Thanks for the PM. Since I'm new to the website, I can't PM yet til I post 15x. But I'm a new U.S. graduate nurse. I can understand a little bit of the Filipino language. But I'm in Cleveland. I wanted to give you some help on your NCLEX. When do you take it and What have you done to prepare?

Oh sorry, I thought you just moved here from the Phils..an advantage on your part since you studied here. Am scheduled last week of Oct. been practicing questions and understand the rationale. Am a married person so sometimes time isn't just enough for study. Please send me any study info.you got and also on your job hunting,for sure you know better than me with regards to hospital/work opportunities. I would greatly appreciate it. It doesn't matter if it's a training program or what, I'll grab the job. Thank you very much. Hope to meet you and your family. God bless.

Hello! No need to be sorry. I think sometimes it is both an advantage and disadvantage. I've heard the clinical training is a lot better there. Hopefully we will be able to meet soon. I have been having an extremely difficult time with my job search in Cleveland. I think it's mainly because of the economy and the hospitals hiring internally. Anyways, can you please PM me your e-mail address and I will e-mail you what I have put together? Thanks! Btw, have you gone to the Filipino store called the NIPA HUT?

Yes, been there at Nipa Hut, the cashier there became a friend of mine. It was through her I met a few filipinas here. Which part of Cleveland do you live? We might just be neighbors,.
