Need help in finding a stna job!!!! Please help!

Hello,
I am fairly new to the boards but I just passed my state test to become an STNA here in Ohio and trying to get into a facility but after a month, I haven't been able to. Is there any tips or tricks that anyone could suggest to get myself noticed by a facility? I thought that places were always hiring STNA's but out of 40 resumes and applications filled out, I have only had one phone call which I think is strange but maybe it isn't. I am starting to get discouraged and now I am even starting to question even becoming and RN because I switched careers to something that was conveyed to me as a never ending source of employment and that places were always hiring. Any piece of advice will help me. Thanks!
