Mum

does miami university of middletown have a waiting list if so how long? My friend went there and they told her no but they said she had to take a year of pre-reqs and then she would be accepted to the actual program. That was awhile ago though. I have already taken my pre-reqs at Sinclair (but the 6 quarter waiting list is toooo long!). *sigh* I should have applied for the nursing program forever ago but was afraid to take the entrance exam till after I had a few math classes.....anything else around that area with no waiting list? I don't think I have a high enough GPA in hs for Kettering... Thanks

MUM and MUH do not have waiting lists. You have to take 12 credit hours from Miami (if you are a transfer student) 4 of which must be one of the required sciences. Then the students with the best grades get in. I have heard there are 300 applicants for 80 slots. I am taking one of the required sciences right now and I really do think half of the class has dropped. The class average is about 75%.

Have you thought about applying to Wright State's BSN program. There is no waiting list.

Also, when considering GPA, Wright State only calculates your GPA from your pre-nursing pre-reqs. They admit students twice per year (Spring quarter and Winter quarter).

If you're worried about paying for school, there's always financial aid available for first-time degree seeking students and alternative loans for second-time degree seeking students.

I'm a student in Wright State's BSN program--it's tough but definitely worth it.

I hope the get into the LPN-RN bridge program at Miami this summer. The wait has been agonizing. I dreamt they rejected me by email last night. I have good grades on all my pre-reqs, but I know the program is competitive and there are a limited number of spots for the bridge program. Anyone here do the bridge program or know any particulars about it? I'm taking Micro this coming term and that will be my last non-nursing class.

Thanks!

Chris

I have no personal experience with the LPN to ADN bridge, but several of them have joined our class this semester.
