Metrohealth Medical Center

Does anyone work at Metro in Cleveland? I just started my OB rotation there and I love it! What is it like to work there? How is the starting pay for a new grad? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

It isn't a bad place to work. They may not get paid as much as the rest of the county, due to being county run, but they have a great retirement, good benefits and they don't have a high turnover. Each unit is different on their scheduling practices and if they are 50% rotating or not. LD doesn't float out, they take call, I do know that. Most people that have left to go on to other things have come back. I work PRN there now after being full time for 21 years, and I have little complaints!

Hi,

New to the sight and just noticed your post. I work at one of the Metrohealth satellite clinics.

Metrohealth is a wonderful place to work, especially for those who are in line with the hospital's mission statement.

Metrohealth is committed to serving the underserved. Many of our patients have multiple issues other than physical ailments i.e socio-economic, psychological etc.

It truly enables one to use a holistic approach to nursing -healing the mind, body and spirit.

Also, a very supportive environment for a new grad!
