Re: lpn-rn
^^
Hey, magster. I'll be finishing LPN school next month, and I've done A LOT of research into LPN-RN programs in Ohio and online. I want to encourage you to get on that waiting list for RN school for several reasons:
1. You may not be able to get into an LPN-RN program right away. The community college I go to requires a year of LPN experience before entering their ACCESS (LPN-to-RN bridge) program.
2. The time and expense will make it not worth it, especially since you don't really expect to work as an LPN. Nearly all bridge programs are a year and a half or more.
3. If you enter the waiting list early, you may be able to start school sooner than you think. At my school, I was already confirmed to start the PN program in Fall '06 -- then the program director called me last summer to ask if I wanted to join the Fall '05 class!
Good luck in whatever route you choose.
