I think the difference b/t Lpn and Lvn is that the practical nurse go to community college and Lvn go to vocational school. I myself went to vocational school. However when you take state boards they sum it up as practical nursing. These are just my thoughts. I hope I helped.

I believe that it has to do with what state you are practicing in. Originally, I was an LVN in California. When I transferred my license to Ohio I became a LPN. Anyway, hope this helps.
