Interview with Cleveland Clinic in 2 weeks...

Updated Oct 22, 2009 at 10:18 AM by wsuchic1

Any tips from those who've interviewed with CC?

Did they ask behavorial interview questions such as, "Tell me about a time when..."?

I'm sure I'll be asked about my strengths/weaknesses...but if anyone who has interviewed with them has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for your help!

I think it really depends on the floor you are interviewing for and the manager... Each manager does their interviews different. Sometimes my NM interviews RN's by herself, sometimes with the other ANM's, sometimes with other RN's... it just depends on the day and what's going on. What floor are you interviewing for??

Thanks for replying!

I'll be interviewing for Hematology/Oncology (G70). The position is Alt shifts...how often will I have to alternate shifts? Is it 7-3 for 2 wks, 7a-7p for 2 wks, 7p-7a for 2 wks?

Also, have you heard anything about this floor? It's reputation, culture, etc.?

Unfortunately I don't know a lot about this floor, but I really haven't ever heard anything bad about any floor. I know a friend that has been a patient on that floor before and she has nothing but good things to say about it.

Usually when you rotate, it's 2 week on days and then 2 weeks of nights. I know on my floor, though, if you can find someone that will rotate with you on a longer time frame, they will allow it. A bunch of our RN's rotate on a monthly basis.

that floor has recently split into separate onc and hemoc, so it is a bit chaotic right now, with lots of new nurses. But it will settle down. Best of luck on the interview.
