Hi and congrats to starting your nursing education
I had a question about the e/w program (my interview is on Thur.) How many days is the attendance and I was confused if the semester included summer hours/courses also. I was told I have an option for either days or eves but, I really need e/w. I have a previouse degree and finished all the other pre-reqs so I should be strictly just nursing classes (i hope. I'm babbling on just wanted a little info on the program before I decided between Huron or Tri-C's Parma Hospital Program. So any info on semester cost and books so far and hours would be awesome.
Thanks and good luck!

Does anyone know as far as books are concerned if used books are ok? Or is there web based homework that requires the manufacture CD's & book codes? I'm starting school in Jan and got a copy of the book list and there is quite a bit of reading required and I'm looking for a head start.

Any info would be great,

Thanks,

KKM

I know this is a little bit late, but I didn't find this post until just now. I would be very careful about Huron. I know people who have graduated from there, but I also know people who dropped out or failed. It is challenging, yes, but when I was there (2008) it was very disorganized and there was a lack of communication between instructors. I dropped out the second semester because I absolutely hated it. I went to an LPN program afterward and I loved it. I had finished all of my prerequisites and corequisites before attending Huron, but it was a huge waste of time. I would encourage you to make sure this is the right school for you and also look and apply to other schools, at least one. If I've learned anything from that experience, it is to be very selective about schools and investments. ~ Ion, LPN

I'm there now and it is challenging, but very doable if you stay on top of your assignments. I would not say the communication is worse than any other university I've attended. I'm actually really enjoying it there. I think they've pulled it together. My instructor was saying they were redoing their curriculum around the time you were there. Maybe that's why things were disorganized.
