Going back to NW Ohio

Well we got the good news hubby landed his teaching job so we are going back home! I will be glad to get away from the central Ohio traffic LOL.

I can keep my current job but am considering applying at a hospital once I get there for PRN work. Probably will head back to the hospital I used to work for, which is ST. Vs.

Glad for the good new, renerian. I was born and raised in Toledo but have been on the East coast (Boston) since college. I just got accepted to several Boston-area direct entry NP programs and am psyched to be starting in the fall; but while I was applying I gave a few moments of thought to applying to MCO (I guess MUO now) and returning to my roots. I sometimes miss it! (Although I love not having to have a car here in Boston...)

Enjoy going home! Say Hi to Toledo for me!

Heather my son works at Lukes. I loved working at Vs. I am sure the onc unit could use some PRN nurses. Thanks Heather and chantelle for the comments. I have never been to Boston but heard the traffic is a nightmare but the pics you see make Boston look so inviting.

Yeah, Boston traffic makes Toledo traffic pale in comparison! I actually used to LIKE driving, I found it RELAXING, when I lived in Toledo. Now I'd rather crawl through 40 miles of mud on my hands and kness in a hailstorm than get behind the wheel of a car! (Ok, slight exaggeration!)

But the photos you've seen don't lie; it is a wonderful, beautiful, and very livable city. In fact, my parents had been on my case to move home for years, until they finally came out to visit me in Boston. After a couple of days they said "Ah, now we understand!" and haven't bugged me about leaving since!

Welcome back to Northwest Ohio, Renerian. I just left Toledo Hospital a couple weeks ago. I was offered a position at U of M, but really don't want to make the hour drive to work and back every day. I just interviewed uesterday for an ER position at St. Luke's. So keep your fingers crossed for me everyone. I think I'd love ER.

Hey all!
I got the job at St. Luke's in the ER!! I'm so excited. I have been in neuro as both an LPN and as an RN and was ready for a new challenge, so here it is. I start hospital orientation for 2 days on Monday and will be in the department starting on Wednesday. I'll be working 7p-7a.
