CPR Certification for Christ

Hello!

I will be a new student in the fall at the Christ College of Nursing. One of the requirements is that we get our CPR certification.

I am just trying to get a feel for where to go.

The places that the school suggested are:
Safety Instructions
Great Oaks
Saving Lives LLC
American Red Cross
American Heart Association

Does anyone have any insight?

THANKS!

If you live near Butler County, try Butler Tech on Hamilton-Middletown Road. That's where I took it. Try somewhere that teached American Heart this program is good for 2 years. Red Cross is only good for 1 year. Glad your coming to Christ. I'll be a second year student in the fall, it Rocks.
Take care and Welcome!!!!

I took mine at a local firehouse. Cost me $25... just make sure it is for health care providers and that it is good for 2 years.

That's how it was about 1 year ago, but the Red Cross has lengthened the "life" of their certification. I just did the Red Cross "Professional Rescuer/Healthcare Provider"CPR/AED class, and my card is good for 2 years.

nursegirl513 - check the American Red Cross and American Heart websites. They will show class dates/times in your area.
