Cincinnati LPN's in hospitals?????? Help!

by ryeguy

Help. Im looking into getting my LPN and then eventually getting my RN. I was wondering what Hospitals in the cincinnati hire LPN's and is it very difficult to get a job in a hospital. I would rather not work in a nursing home and was wondering what my options where. Any info would help. thanks

Hi there! I have been trying for a couple of years to get a job as an LPN in Cincinnati. Job postings for LPNs in local hospitals are few and far between. I haven't had the good fortune to get an interview for any of them. I highly, highly encourage you to skip the LPN step if possible and go straight to RN...especially if you don't want to work in a nursing home. There just aren't that many opportunities in this area for LPNs. Even the nursing homes don't seem to need help right now. I wish you the best of luck whichever route you take. I am currently pursuing my RN. I graduate in May 2010. I wish I had gone this route initially!

Chris!
