Best RN schools in the Dayton area?

I would love to start an RN program soon. I would prefer a 2-year program, because my wife is in the Air Force and we don't know how long we'll be in this area. What school around Dayton is accredited so that I can transfer all my credits (if I want to get my BSN) anywhere in the country? Please help!

One you might want to consider is Sinclair Community College. They offer a very well respected 2 year ADN program (it actualy takes ~2.5 to complete). The downside is that there's a ~2-3 year waiting list to begin your nursing classes.

I believe that Wright State University just offers the 4 year BSN, but am not certain about that.

Good luck, and welcome to allnurses.com!

Wright State does offer a 4 year BSN. Admission is competitive and based on GPA. I believe the current cutoff is about a 3.3. There is an "accelerated option" where you can go to school year round and complete the program in 3 years and 1 quarter. This is the track I chose since my husband is also AF and I wanted to make sure I was done in time for our next PCS. There are also other nursing schools in the area but I don't know about accreditation or which programs they offer. They are: Clark State, Edison Community College, Miami University (Middletown only I believe), and RETS.

Hope this helps!
