Aultman Hospital

Hello everyone,

Can anyone please give me some feedback about working conditions in Aultman Hospital in Canton? I was thinking of applying to their critical care unit, and I would really appreciate to hear from your experiences there.

Thanks a lot allnurses

Hello there!

I am a recent graduate of Aultman College of Nursing and will begin orientation there for my first job as an RN on 1/21.

I had all of my clinicals at Aultman hospital and I think it is going to be a great place to work. Most of the floors that I was clinical on had a great team spirit and effort. Most of the nurses were extremely helpful with the students.

Aultman is also a Magnet hospital....which says a lot about their treatment of the nursing staff.

I hope this helps! Good luck to you!

Hello,
Sorry I dont know the conditions at the hospital but I wanted to congratulate you on completing your RN program. I just applied and need to get some pre-req's out of the way. I am 25 and married I have a great job now but making a career change. I need a rewarding career and have always wanted to be a nurse. I am just a bit nervous but just knowing that I am not the only one out there makes me feel better! Congratulations! You will be great!

hi tiff,

thanks! i'm looking forward to working there as well. They have very nice people who get you situated with their program and they offer very good rewards as far as working there is concerned. I probably get to know more later on when i actually start working soon.

its perfectly normal to feel nervous cause i think change does that. But change can be good too, you get to meet new people, do something different and rewarding, especially in this line of work cause you have that opportunity to touch other people's lives... and the pay is terrific! Good luck on your pre-reqs and congratulations on your career change

Welcome to the world of nursing!

I assume this means they're out of accreditation limbo and are now officially accredited?

Congrats to the new nurses in this thread who are getting ready to start new jobs! I've only heard wonderful things about Aultman. My mom worked there for probably close to 30 years and my aunt has been working there for somewhere between 20-30 years.

Thanks Sassy,

Yup Aultman is definitely certified as a Magnet Facility, the only one in that area. I'm glad to hear that they have a very good retention of nurses... it just goes to show how contented and happy the staff are and how much the admin values their employees.

ChinoyRN,

So....I'm guessing that you are the gentleman sitting in the back of the classroom....the one who successfully applied a vest restraint to me in general orientation yesterday?

How do you think orientation is going? General orientation was terribly boring, but the nursing orientation is fine.....it's nice for a new grad like me to have a refresher!

See ya tomorrow!
