anyone at lpn program at Great Oaks?

I was thinking about taking the LPN program at Great Oaks in Cincinnati. I work full-time now and would be taking part-time classes 4 nights a week. I was wanting some feedback on how good the program is and the intensity of it. I'm a little worried about putting too much on myself with working full time and having class 4 nights a week....

I graduated from them and am currently working on my RN.I really liked the program.I did the day program and although it was tough I am so glad I went through it.Night class shouldnt be bad though but you should be fine if do it like that. You have to study just like you would for anything else.

I am curently in the lpn program at diamond. The program isnt to hard but this is only the first term. we have clinicals on mondays ,a&p with a test every tuesday, bhn and pharm on wed.with a test usally two , and lab on thursdays.I wouldnt work full time and go to school but there are girls in the class that do it it just depends on the person and if you are naturally good at taking test or if you need to study alot.by the way anything below a 77 is failing

Try the program nand see how you handle it...if you can work while you go through then great.I have a friend who works after she goes to night class then comes home sleeps then gets up to study

I was in the first class to graduate from the Laurel Oaks campus, Wilmington. The program was great, I feel that I got a great education there. The instructors were very caring and available. I did however take the year off of work. I tried to work, I fell behind. Good Luck to you!

I am in the 2nd graduating class at the Laurel (Wilmington) campus and we graduate tonight (Aug 10). There are a couple of girls who have worked but it was a bit difficult for them. Fortunately, my husband enabled me to concentrate wholly on this full time program by working extra hours to pay the bills. The second income will be nice again.

I loved our instructors, both class and clinical. Parts of the program were more difficult than others. It starts out with the basics and builds upon them so becomes more difficult as the year goes on.

Life as you know it will change but it will be worth it in the end.
