Online Occ Health Nsg Practice Survey

by kculp

Hello,

This is my first note and I am just discoverying this web site. Previously, I had been using the AAOHN bulletin board and would like to communicate with nurses who are not part of our professional organization to participate in a survey about your occ health nursing practice.

I have created an an anonymous questionnaire that only takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and can be done with a simple click on the link below. The focus of the survey is varied, but focuses on education & certification, frequency of contact with other occ health professionals, and identification of under-served worker populations in your practice.

PLEASE ONLY COMPLETE IF YOU ARE AN OCC HEALTH NURSE. Click on the link if you want to go there and complete it.

We are also interested in facilitating a web site that focuses on international worker health. As our US economy moves from one of manufacturing to the service industry, many workers in developing countries are exposed to unsafe working conditions. If you would like to see some of the experiences of our graduate students in occupational health nursing who have visited some of these places or actually are international students, please visit this web site:

Thanks for your help and hopefully you will pass this links along to your friends and colleagues in occupational health nursing!

Listen Occupational Health Practice Survey
Hi,

I see one message here about the number of nurses on this board and over 400 viewings. This is fantastic.

What I would like to do is bolster the number of participants on the Occupational Health Nursing Practice Survey, it will only take about 15 minutes. If you have already taken the survey - THANK YOU!!!

Please know that all responses are confidential and the only identifying information is geographical. If you are a registered nurse and practice in occupational health - I need to hear from you!

It does not matter if you are certified in occ health, affiliated with any professional organizations, or have a BSN... although I do ask about these things in the survey.

The purpose of the study is to find out about your practice, your learning needs, the resouces you have available in terms of interdisciplinary collaborations, and your feelings about under-served worker populations. It really is a worthwhile investment of your time.

To date, I have about 118 responses and I would like to have a minimum of 200. If I can reach this level, I most likely will publish this in the American Association of Occupational Nurses. If there is interest (as evidenced not my email but by completed responses to the survey - I will also a summary here on this board).

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS REQUEST SERIOUSLY.

Thanks for considering this request!
