Coolant contamination in a manufacturing plant

  1. 0 Has anyone had to deal with contaminated coolant in a manufacturing area? We had a break out of dermatitis only to discover that our coolant/oil mixtures were the problem.

We're improving and using a good IH to monitor but I am looking at preventive issues.

We enforce the use of proper PPE. Gloves, sleeves seems to have solved the problem for us. Occasionally we still get one or tow with a reaction, since we have many different types of coolant used, we move the operator to a type thet they have not been sensitized with.

Thank you for responding. We did enforce the PPE while the bacteria counts were high, now our operators are not experiencing a problem
