Ok. Thank you!

But you were asking how they know what sex would be like if they were cut compared to if they weren't; it wasn't meant to be a before and after comparision. It was about how one group rates their satisfation (presumably) compared to another group.

No, that is not what I was asking....Here is my question to her..."How can a man who has his foreskin compare his sexual experience and pleasure to one who does not?? He has never been on the other side of the fence, so how can he compare."

I didn't think it was a before and after.

Well it doesn't bother me - I've heard it before. But I'm sure you wouldn't say on this board you thought cleft lips were "disgusting" or people with Down's Syndrome were "disgusting" - probably because there are people here who have family members with those conditions.

A lot of us know people with foreskins. And the above comparisons are abnormal things. A foreskin is normal - all males are born with them and despite our persistence in cutting them off they continue to be born with them. Saying they are disgusting makes about as much sense as saying women with large labias are "disgusting". They are a normal part of human anatomy. Saying you don't personally find foreskins to be aesthetically attractive is ok but "disgusting" is harsh. And yes, I think saying it is "abusive" is harsh too.

My point is, no one said a man with a foreskin compared his sexual experience to one who has no foreskin. It's about how high two groups of men, one with foreskins and one without rate their own sexual experiences. For example, men without foreskins may rate their love of sex at a 7, while men with foreskins tend to rate their love of sex at 9; hence, the men without foreskins rate their sexual satisfaction higher.

My dh was peeking over my shoulder yesterday and read some of these posts. He made a comment that while he couldn't change anything, he would have liked to be the one to decide about having a circ (and then said he probably would have done it).
He works with a bunch of macho men and DO YOU BELIEVE they talked about US (nurses) debating this issue all night long while working

He said a lot of his coworkers wished that they had been given a choice, but that they would probably have done what they know. One didn't have his son circumcised because of this... he had never told anyone because he thought he'd be seen as "strange". I guess the "macho men" were very supportive!
Boy I wish I had been a fly on the wall last night!

I mentioned this somewhere earlier in this thread but your post reminded me that I asked my boys about it (almost 21 and almost 23) and they were horrified that I had any qualms about circing them. They both said they would have been very angry with me if I had not.

I'm sure it is because in this area, there are very few uncirc'd men and the ones who are are teased . . at least in jr/sr high school.

A man and his penis . . . . .

Why are you focusing so much on what I find disgusting? Please get over it already. I am not concerned about offending someone because I say "I think something is disgusting". I did not post the bit about it being disgusting so that we could discuss this and then rationalize it. I use the word "disgusting" in my vocabulary at times. I don't use the term "aesthetically attractive" in my daily speech or I may come off sounding like a robot That may be how you wish to describe something, but not I.

That all being said, I do not say things to intentionally upset anyone. If it does not bother you (like you mentioned), than why should you and I go back and forth on this issue?

About the labia thing...yes I when I was pregnant and they got bigger I thought that was disgusting too...does this make me a bad person for saying this...no. If I inadvertently offend anyone by this...too bad! Our society has gotten way overboard with being PC and trying not to hurt feelings.

I do not take to heart the things people say on here. It's all just words.
