Uh-oh. My littlest girl is Jessica and we call her Jessy. I like it with the "y". I think it looks better than Jesse or Jessie. Does that make me lame? I am either way.

No darlin' - that does NOT make you lame! On her birth certificate, school records, drivers' license (some day) and so on - her name is JESSICA. You can spell Jessy with a "y" if you like - Jesse is traditionally the masculine spelling (aka Jesse James), and the "y" or "ie" is interchangable for girls. It's more in how you pronounce it than how you spell a nickname - it's how you SPELL given names that makes their lives hell on earth........and it's the ones who put y's everywhere but where they DON'T belong who are having self-identity issues and are foisting them off on their children! This, in my book, makes YOU perfectly normal! LOL

In my hometown there was a man whose last name was Krapp. His first name was his mom's maiden name -- Fuller. Put 'em together. Yep, Fuller Krapp... Don't people think and sound the name out first?

There is a very large family that is mostly sons and only a couple daughters. Near the beginning of the line was Fred Tucker Jr. That isn't the weird part. About 10 kids later they named the latest boy
Junior Fred Tucker. Junior Fred, as he was called, was in my class in school.

2) pronounced ahb-su-day (abcde)
3) pronounced suh-phyllis (syphilis)
4) playa
5)not weird but cute i thought mom is Ruby, babies were Jade and
