When advertising Doritos, Jay Leno said, "Don't worry. We'll make more." The same is true of crazy baby names.

When my sisters and I were born (I am a triplet) near us twin boys were born as well. My dad overheard the nurses talking to the new mother about baby names and she said someone had already named them. Being the kind people that they are and probably thinking that the patient was just tired and out of it after labor, they replied "No sweetie, you get to name your babies." she replied, "No see, their names are Boya and Boyb!" Yes, as in Boy A and Boy B. True story. My family always jokes now that my sisters and I were going to be named Girla, Girlb, and Girlc!

I may have posted this before (not going back over 3000+ posts in this thread to check) but the triplet story reminded me of it.

Our older son had triplet boys for friends. I can't imagine what their possessed their poor mother, but a year later she had another boy, whom she named Jimmy. It became kind of cumbersome to always be talking about "Jimmy and the triplets," so one creative neighbor came up with a solution. From that day forward, the four boys were referred to as "the giblets."

Haha that's cute! That always seems to happen to triplets! We have a little sister (Molly) and her best friend used to refer to us as "Molly and her friends" because for some reason she didn't understand that we were Molly's sisters.

when i was growing up, a family attended our church. they had two single kids and gave them both "j" names. next they had twins and gave them "b" names. family complete? they thought so.

ten months later, they had identical triplets! "d" names. not a weird name in the bunch, but that poor mama had had 1 who was potty trained and 1 in training pants and 2 in diapers. then wham! she had
2 in training pants and 5 in diapers! the oldest child regressed a bit. this was before disposable diapers were commonly used.

just for the record, there were two parents and the dad had a good job.

a neat experience. i bet they were the only family around that had singles, doubles, and then there were three. poor mom though. i hope the dad was a helpful soul and that the mom and dad had caring parents. those kids sure needed some.
