Tallulah was named after the actress Tallulah Bankhead, Rumer was named after the author Rumer Godden, and Scout was named after a character in a classic novel but I forget which one it was.

"Talula Does The Hula In Hawaii" is the full name. I know Talula (Tallulah) is a proper name. It is the add-on that is/was frustrating for the judge. Thanks, nrsang97, for the rest of the story. I had not seen it on CNN, I don't have CNN.

This is fun! I've been reading back and can't believe how "common" some uncommon names are becoming...I have seen a few of the ones posted. Three boys walker, Texas, Ranger. Anakin.
One day I was joking around with a dad. I asked him what his name was. He said Amal. I asked how do you spell that and he says J'amal. I said ??? it's not Jamal. We were teasing each other...then he says the J is silent...I said ok ok what does your mother call you.. He says "Joseph" He, his girlfriend and I had a good laugh.

I had a classmate in elementary school named Tyree. He went by Ty at the time, and not long ago, I told someone a story about him and decided to Google him to see if I could locate him.

He was a short black kid, very smart, with a ginormous Afro (this was the mid-1970s) and a girl I sometimes played with said he had an "umbrella haircut" (That was the story.) His sister was in my Girl Scout troop, and a few years later, their parents got divorced and they moved away. Anyway, the Google search revealed that he's a dentist in the Las Vegas area, and is the director of a mobile dental clinic that goes to low-income areas in that city, and outlying Indian settlements, to provide dental care to those people.

    :wink2:

He no longer has an umbrella haircut.

Giving bad baby names is a pretty big thing --- I was googling a name and stumbled to this site http://bigbadbabynames.net/forum/index.php . It's pretty interesting.

I was wondering ---- what do you consider a weird/bad name? A name that you don't know/never heard of or a name that doesn't make sense?

Ex. Ameena which is a legit, cultural name vs. Nevaeh which is just a made up name?
